Students had the opportunity to participate in a day trip to the Cheakamus Centre Longhouse, a program led by Squamish nation members who share their cultural practices and crafts. Students learned plant names and traditional uses during a forest walk, made soup using hot rocks, cooked bannock over fires, and learned how to cedar carve and weave. Huy chexw to the wonderful staff at the Cheakamus Centre!
