Friday, November 22
Dear Eagle Families,
As we approach the end of November, I want to thank our entire school community for your continued support and collaboration. This short week has been filled with amazing examples of learning, leadership, and connection, reminding us of the strength of our Eagle community.
A special thank you to our students, staff, and families who participated in the Remembrance Day activities on the 8th. It was a meaningful opportunity to honour and reflect on the sacrifices of those who served and continue to serve. Thank you to our staff and students for leading these important events with such thoughtfulness.
Our team recently attended the AMLE Conference in Nashville, a transformative experience for deepening our commitment to middle-level education. The ideas we bring back will help us enhance the learning environment here at Don Ross. I am grateful for the leadership of Mr. Nanson and Mr. Allen, who kept everything running smoothly during our time away.
As the winter season begins to make itself known, a quick reminder to ensure your child is dressed for changing weather conditions. We encourage outdoor breaks and outdoor learning experiences, so warm, waterproof layers are essential.
Looking ahead, if your class has elected to share Learning Updates, they will be available on Monday the 25th. If not, you can expect to see your Learning Updates on the 20th of December . This is an excellent opportunity to connect, share successes, and set goals for the months ahead. Please contact the office if you are unsure of when to expect your child's reporting.
Thank you for being part of the Don Ross community and have a great weekend!
Warm regards,
Graham

Shop gifts for family, friends, neighbours AND yourself in one convenient place. After all orders are submitted, we’ll sort, distribute, and have orders ready for pick up on Monday, Dec 9th at Garibaldi Highlands Elementary between 5 - 6pm. Alternatively, local delivery can be requested.
What you’ll need to order:
- Our campaign number: 74960
- Go to our fundraising website: https://fundraising.purdys.com/1921672-121109

PLEASE remember to put your Full Name, Email, and Phone number in with your order…this is so helpful when time to coordinate and ensure timely delivery of your chocolates!
Thank you EVERYONE for your support. Even if you can’t buy chocolates from us, it would be helpful if you could share this fundraiser link to any chocolate or gift giving friends you know!
Happy chocolating!
